Overview
The subclass 190 visa is a permanent visa that requires an Australian state or territory government to ‘nominate’ the applicant.
There are 3 distinct steps to a subclass 190 application. These are:
Skills Assessment and English exam
Expression of Interest (EOI) and nomination application
Visa application
Applicants must also ensure they have an eligible occupation on the relevant occupation list and have enough points on the ‘points test’.
It is important that applicants plan ahead if intending to apply for a subclass 190 visa. Processing times for skills assessments, state nomination and visa processing can be lengthy.
