Labour Agreement Overview
Labour Agreements are designed to assist businesses that are unable to find staff locally and are unable to adequately staff their business using the standard migration program. Labour Agreements may provide a business with ‘concessions’ to the standard migration program, based on age, occupation, English ability, salary or skills.
There are a variety of different labour agreements. These are:
Company specific labour agreements
Industry labour agreements
Designated Area Migration Agreements (DAMAs), that are specific to particular regional areas of Australia
The obligation is on the business to demonstrate to Immigration that the standard migration program is insufficient for the business. This is most commonly done through extensive evidence of advertising for roles over a long period of time, combined with more general labour market data.
To determine whether a labour agreement is an appropriate, and if so, which type, it is important to discuss the matter with a qualified professional. Labour Agreements can be a significant financial investment but will often enable businesses to sponsor the workers they need.
Pricing
Our fees to assist with a Labour Agreement vary depending on the type of Labour Agreement being requested, the number of occupations and the number of proposed workers being sponsored over the duration of the Agreement. Businesses can expect prices to range from $3300 for a single occupation, single position DAMA agreement to $16,500 for a multiple position company Labour Agreement.
